 Lean Execution Lessons Learned
Presented by Manuel Parente CPIM, CSCP & Satyadeep Vajjala

An essential part of lean manufacturing involves optimizing customer services with  minimum inventory investment  This presentation
describes a series of case studies from a  unique pilot implemented at IBM Microelectronics, which aimed to align traditional, multiple-
echelon planning and scheduling with manufacturing execution in a lean environment.  The presenters will share significant lessons learned
from this pilot.

The presentation will focus on:
       - Aligning your enterprise resources planning and material requirements planning with lean practices
       - Discovering the sources and propagating factors of demand variability in an extended value stream
       - Optimizing service levels with minimum inventory investment and cost

The presentation will feature :
       - A proven method for implementing supply and demand planning in an extended supply chain network
       - Examples of successful kanban, pull-and-replenish sequencing and flow loops
       - Effective ways to address supply and demand variability

This presentation will be featured at the 2010 APICS International Conference in Las Vegas on the Lean Educational Track.
If you cannot make it to conference then attend this session to help you apply lean operations best practices in your organization!
